VGC 2: The Fender Lead Series

Today's subject is the Fender Lead series of solidbody guitars. These guitars, produced in the USA from 1979 - 1982/3 are full-featured dynamos with great sustain and tonal quality. The series included the Lead I, Lead II, and Lead III (all pictured).

You can have a look at the 1982 Fender product catalog page that I referenced in the podcast by clicking here. Be advised that it is a large file...I wanted to be sure you could read the specs. The coloring is a little off...may be time to tweak the scanner.

Also featured is a podcast promo for the DigiVegas Indie Podcast.

Please feel free to comment here or contact me at ceejay1964 (at) gmail (dot) com with additional information, stories, pictures, corrections, or ideas for future casts.

Today's background music provided by the Podsafe Music Network and 15 Megs of Fame, and includes "She Already Made up her Mind" by The Hamptons, "Second Song" by Ten to Never, "Not Alone" by Brian Buta, and "Just Like Me" by Even Tide. Please support these bands.

Thanks for joining me! Until next time...

Hi Pierre,
Thanks a lot! I will look into the idea of a tone report. That could be a cool addition.

Those guitars look perfect for my style, but what kind of price are they?
